Overview

The Orange County Convention & Expo Center (OCCEC) is located in the heart of Orange County, Texas, with easy access from Interstate 10.  The OCCEC's 57,000-square-foot main building includes the 10,800-square-foot Convention & Expo Center, the 841-square-foot DuPont Meeting Room and the 841-square-foot Special Purpose Room.

Also located within the building are four Orange County Offices, Texas-Agrilife Extension, Environmental Health & Code, Road and Bridge and the cornerstone of the building project, Emergency Management.

What began as a dream of the Retired Senior Citizen Organization and local agricultural leaders to have a multi-purpose facility suitable for a variety of activities and events happened after two hurricanes affected Orange County. The unfortunate devastation of county buildings brought county officials and a private citizens group known as C.H.A.M.P.S. (Community Hands Assemble Multi-Purpose Structure) together to build this fantastic facility.

Today, Orange County proudly operates the Convention & Expo Center to maximize the economic impact of Orange County. The first class service and professionally managed meetings, conventions, and special events makes OCCEC a "Center of Hospitality" to be proud of.

The capacity of the Expo Center can accommodate 640 for certain events. The room can be divided in many ways to facilitate breakout rooms, classroom seating and banquet-style setup.  The room is well suited for trade shows and market-type events.
